Mergery is a Google Sheets™ add-on developed by LJD Technology.
This policy describes the steps that we take to protect your privacy when you use the Mergery add-on or visit this website.
Mergery's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google™ APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Mergery does not transfer any information from the user's Google account.
Cookies are small text files or graphic files which are stored on the user’s computer when the Mergery website is opened or the Mergery add-on is used.
To assist Mergery in maintaining and improving this add-on, Mergery uses Google Analytics™ to gather information about usage of the Mergery website. For example, it tracks how many visitors the website has, which screens they spend time on, what kinds of operating systems and devices they use, and how they found the website. Google Analytics does not track, collect or upload any data that personally identifies an individual (such as a name, email address, account number or billing information), or other data which can be reasonably linked to such information.
Neither the Mergery add-on nor the Mergery website use any other cookies.
Mergery does not collect any personal information. All of your data remains within your Gmail™, Google Sheet™ or Google Doc™ applications or on your Google Drive™.
When the add-on is installed from the Marketplace, the user authorises Mergery to access information in their Google account. This section will detail how those permissions are actually used.
The script allows the user to create a PDF document from a Google Doc™. The script creates a folder at the root of the user’s Google Drive™ and places the PDF documents into that folder.
The script allows the user to create a PDF file from a hidden sheet that contains properly formatted labels. The script saves the pdf file to the root of the user’s Google Drive™.
No other items in the user’s Google Drive™ are read, changed or deleted.
The user provides the script with the URL of a Google Doc™ to use as a template. The script makes copy of the Google Doc™, merges data into the copy, creates a PDF of the copy, and then deletes the copy.
No other Google Doc™ is read, changed or deleted.
Mergery will only interact with the currently open spreadsheet. No existing sheets is changed or deleted. Temporary (hidden) sheets are added to hold intermediate data.
Mergery allows the user to select one of their draft emails to use as a template. The script gets a list of the user’s draft emails and presents the user with a list of drafts that could be used as a template (i.e. they contain tags - {{ }}).
Once the user selects an existing draft to use as a template, Mergery gets the message information (e.g. subject, body, attachments) and uses that information to create new drafts with the tags replaced with the merge data.
No other email is read, changed or deleted.
Once the user has selected the draft to use as a template, a new draft is created that matches the template and the data is merged into the new draft. The original draft is not changed or deleted. The new draft is then saved and/or sent.
This permission allows Mergery to access the user’s daily quota in order to provide a warning if sending emails would exceed the quota.
This permission allows the system to display information in your selected language. This permission is not used by Mergery.
This permission allows Mergery to display the dialog box that lets the user control the merge process. The only third-party content that is displayed are the images in the ‘Instructions’ dialog box. Those images are accessed from the LJD Technology website.
This privacy policy may be updated to reflect any change in the service. The ‘Last modified’ date at the top of this page will be updated to indicate that there has been a change.
